HeartSWell South West are proud to announce that we are finalists at the UK Heart Safe Awards, having been nominated for the ‘Not for Profit Award’ as a result of our community defibrillator programme.
Being nominated and shortlisted for such important award is a massive achievement for our small charity and we are delighted to have been chosen.
To date we have placed over 112 defibrillators in the community and with the support of Sarah Dormor (Senior Resuscitation Officer) we have trained over 4,500 people in CPR and defibrillation.
To be recognised for our work in this way is a great honour and our thanks go to our team and volunteers for all their hard work and efforts to make this programme a success.
Operations Manager Liz said: ‘We still have a long way to go but the progress we are making and the relationships we are building with our local communities are immeasurable in value. Lives are being saved and that is why we do what we do and will keep going until we achieve our ultimate goal of a heart safe South West.
The event will take place on Friday 26th October in Manchester.
